Arrival and Departure
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Cresswell Barn Farm campsite.
Please note arrival is after 3pm, if you would like to arrive earlier, please be sure to make advance arrangements.
If you have booked to stay, you will have received a confirmation email. This will include:
- Directions
- Details of your allocated pitch
- Campsite map
- Information documents
When you arrive
Note that there are two gate entrances to the camping fields, depending on your pitch you need to enter the appropriate gate (while you can walk between the fields there is no vehicle access). Do not drive up the farm lane, there are often farm vehicles moving around in the farm yard.
- Bridge Meadow: for electric hook-up pitches 1-6 and pitches A to K Non EUH.
- Upper Meadow for electric hook-up 7-10 and pitches L to P Non EUH.
On the gate you should see your name and allocated pitch. Simply proceed to your pitch, your name should also be on the pitch marker. [pitch marker]
Set up and begin your camping holiday! There is no need to ‘check-in’, pay in advance or otherwise.
All the other facilities are marked on your map and are easy to locate.
Fi can be seen around the site usually during the morning and early evening on her 6-wheel ‘Gator’ vehicle to welcome the campers, collect payment and to deal with any issues or advice you may need and ensure everything is OK.
Ad-hoc arrival
It is always best to book in advance to avoid disappointment, but it you are in the area or if you have not booked your stay in advance we may still be able to find you a free pitch so park in a safe place near the gate and phone on 07814 721099. Fiona will answer the phone, if she is not tied up with the campsite or farm work. Leave a message and telephone number, she will get back to you as soon as she can and do her best to accommodate you.
Departure
Please vacate your pitch by 12 midday on your day of departure.
If you need to leave later please speak to Fi to make or confirm arrangements, even if your pitch is booked for new campers we may be able to accommodate your vehicle or unit on the campsite until later in the day. Note that a nominal fee for parking may apply.
Before leaving please ensure that:
- You have paid all fees
- If you hired a fire pit this has been returned, or arrangements are made for collection.
- Any waste or recycling has been left at the appropriate points and no waste remains on your pitch.
Thank you, and have a safe journey home or onwards on your travels and we look forward to seeing you again.
